Alzheimer’s Disease
Alzheimer’s Disease/Dementia Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive brain disorder that causes memory loss and destroys the thinking skills, and eventually one is not able to do the general tasks. Although the decline in health is slow but it depends on various cases. In most of the cases, it happens in the old age people.
Stage 1.
Alzheimer’s person does not show any signs and symptoms of dementia in this stage.
Stage 2
In this stage, Alzheimer’s person may experience difficulty in remembering names & places etc. This can be due to age-related changes, but no symptoms of dementia can be detected during medical examination.
Stage 3
Relatives and friends begin to notice the Alzheimer’s person memory lapses. Doctors are able to diagnose the disease after a detailed interview at this stage. Alzheimer person can experience the following difficulties
- Difficulty in recalling names of the relatives
- Difficulty in performing the social and personal task
- Misplacing the personal belongings
Stage 4
At the fourth stage, the following symptoms may be noticed in a person:
- Forgets the recent events
- Difficulty in day-to-day task
- Forgetfulness about one’s own personal history
- Difficulty in doing complex tasks
- Becoming moody
Stage 5
In addition to above symptoms, Alzheimer’s patient is unable to recall his/her address, telephone number or his/her friend’s address. They become very confused about day-to-day tasks and the people even forget the date.
Stage 6
- Trouble in remembering spouse’s name
- Trouble in controlling his/her bladder or bowel movement
- Difficulty in remembering his/her personal history but he/she remembers his/her own name.
Stage 7
In the final stage of Alzheimer’s disease, person loses the ability to respond to the surroundings or carry on a conversation.
And eventually in some cases, control of movements and motor functions disappear totally.
Role of Homeopathy:
